The meaning behing the song "Stay" by Sugarland is so unique..It is about being the one who I guess you could call the mistress....It's the women singing about how she feels when she is with him, and his wife would cal and he would have to leave but she just wants him to "stay"..be with her and not his wife...but near the end of the song she realizes that she can't deal with the pain of him always leaving her bed for his wife's...and she decides that she can't deal with it anymore.. sot hat is why at the end of the song.. she says "im up off my knees"....and she is telling him to just "stay" with his wife...i am telling you.. once u get the meaning the next time u hear it.. you will break down and cry. b/c it is from such a different aspect of cheating
