Most of us always run away when it comes to the truth, so instead of facing the truth, we do hide from it and that's when you become not finding yourself. Crystal's character, Mitch Robbins, and Curly have endless verbal Fencing matches but one comes to mind where Mitch asks curly what is important in life. Curly holds up a twisted, leather gloved hand and extends his index finger. Mitch looks confused and asks, "What's that?" Curly tells him, "There's only one thing in life that is important." Mitch still confused continues to question Curly. "What's the one thing?" curly turns to him and gargles, "You have to find that our for yourself."

It's a movie I know, but wisdom can come from anywhere. While the "truth will set you free," that in itself is the result of the original quote, "You never find yourself until you face the truth." In essence you have to know where you came from and face the reality of that before you can know who you truly are.
