Mine gets about 22mpg city and 32 highway.

Typical average for me (I live in Texas) is 25-27 combined city and highway.

Regular maintenance makes a huge difference!

My average, and I check it after every fill-up, ranges between 25 and 27 MPG. It really depends on how much city vs. highway driving you do. One thing that helps A LOT is buying basic $1 fuel injector cleaner from Wal-Mart (where I get it) and adding to every refill or two. If it's been a while since you put in some fuel injector cleaner invest in some more potent stuff like concentrated cleaner (Wal-Mart $2-3) or Gumout( $4-5). I do my own maintenance like changing oil with a synthetic blend (If you haven't been using pure synthetic from day one, don't start now, you'll do more harm than good), change your spark plugs every 30,000 miles (no dual-fire or fancy stuff, those will burn out your head gaskets from over-heating), and a good flowing air filter is Very Important! I tried a Fram and lost about 5mpg, then switched to a Percolator from some chain automotive store and got it back and then some. I could go on, but basically, take car of your car and it will take care of you. Oh, and something I have to deal with soon, at about 40-50 thousand miles you'll need to change the brake pads. Do it before thay start sounding like metal on metal screeching and you can ovoid rotor grinding, replacement, etc. Save a few hundred bucks.
