The poem, The Road Not Taken, is pretty clear to me. This poem is related to our real life. Sometimes, we face difficulties in life and cannot decide what we do in the situation. We would like to choose both paths, but it is not possible. We stand and look at the different situations, and it is difficult to decide to choose one path. So,, we should think carefully, because it is our life. We think after choosing one path we will choose another path, but we doubted we would be able to, because in life one thing leads to another and time is short. Then sometimes we decide to choose the path many others have not traveled. It means at certain points in our life we decide to follow our own path, and not the one that we think we should follow. We want to become different to others so we decided to choose different path, but it may be harmful for us and then we feel sorry for ourselves. It's those times in life when we make a leap of faith, and put negative thoughts out of our mind. When we trust our instincts, suddenly we start living the life we were meant to live. It's a poem about finding our own way; listen to our own voice, and our own path in life. When we start to bend into your instincts and follow them our life becomes uniquely our own and when we are on an authentic path and not living according to someone else's ideals, we have a chance to be our most successful. It is important to be careful with the time frame. We should be very careful to choose any path, because we cannot know how our choice will affect our future.

Going back and try to make things right wouldn't help me at all. It will just steal the moment that I should be cherishing life. Whatever path we chose in life, we must always remember that there's never really an easy road and in every success lies trade offs. The world is round, and we are living in a world full of twists and turns. Man is innately equip with the instinct to survive...we are all survivors so live life to the fullest!

As I journey through with my life, I have a deep convictions that wherever path I go, whatever path I choose, at the end of this journey, I will arrive at the place where God has directed me from the moment I was born.

I always look back to the poem "The road not taken by Robert Frost" since it reminds me of the importance of TODAY. I shouldn't waste my time, because every moment becomes a history and what's been done can no longer be undone.

Many of us waste our time over the things that practically do not have any importance in our life with out realizing that we are wasting precious moments that our creator has given us. we are stealing the joy of NOW.

Let me discuss in my own point of view the persona in the poem is trying to imply:

In the first stanza, the persona is saying that he is standing in a diverging road and that he can not decide whether which way to go. It's like the dreams we have in life. Many times we have set multiple list of ambitions in our head to the extend we can not grab all in just one grip thus we have to take priority and that priority should be precised. There is no room for mistakes in reality. The importance of choosing the right path will define and shape our future.

The second stanza conveys the decision of the persona who took the road of a less traveled by. "And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear;". It was grassy, which means, this is a road less traveled by. When we walk in a forest, we always try to follow the track where people used to pass by. We refused to deviate our path because we are afraid to take chances that might further lost us in that forest. In life, there are people who would take the easy road because they fear to take risk and very few will take the courage to take the other road that's full of hardships and struggles. But the truth behind this other road is a better person whom God has always wanted you to become.

Sometimes no matter how much we hold on to that one certain dream, because of our fear of rejections and failures we deny ourselves from taking chances and live in contentment that it was never meant for us. Maybe it was not meant for you and you're lucky enough for not going through a litany of regrets, but, what if it was God's ultimate dream for you. It was the reason why God created you and you let go of the chance because you doubted God's presence in your life. Would you wish to restart your life all over again?

"And both that morning equally lay,... Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back." Morning is a sign of a new beginning, a new day. The persona in the third stanza acknowledged the day and realized that in every step he make, there was not a single mark left (In leaves no step had trodden black- which means that there might also be some people who have chosen that road but no trail of them was seen) But as he keep moving on with his journey, he doubted if he could ever come back. Why? Perhaps, he encountered some difficulties, some hardships. Trials are meant to shape us and not destroy us.

Frost claims that he wrote this poem about his friend Edward Thomas, with whom he had walked many times in the woods near London. Frost has said that while walking they would come to different paths and after choosing one, Thomas would always fret wondering what they might have missed by not taking the other path. About the poem, Frost asserted, "You have to be careful of that one; it's a tricky poem - very tricky." And he is, of course, correct. The poem has been and continues to be used as an inspirational poem, one that to the undiscerning eye seems to be encouraging self-reliance, not following where others have led. But a close reading of the poem proves otherwise. It does not moralize about choice, it simply says that choice is inevitable but you never know what your choice will mean until you have lived it.

It symbolises the paths that the individual can take of either conformity or individuality.
