1. You must have what you need before you start wanting; sometimes what you need is enough.
2. 'What you give is what you get.' [Give love, you get love. If give hate, you get hate.]
3. Never lose sight of what's truly important. (Family&love)
- There is a difference between what you want and what you need.
Notice in this story that the princess arrives at the castle bedraggled and totally not "princessy". She is torn, scratched, and has no attendants. The Queen who makes the test of the pea under the matress is judging by the princess' appearance, which is a judgment only of appearance not of quality.
Since the princess passed the test, she was a true princess in the Queen's opinion. Once again, the Queen erred in her judgment because even though a princess would have tender skin, anyone could have tender skin.
The moral lesson is not to judge people by what they look like. Get to know people first, then make up your mind.
The lesson is that even the smallest things can make a big difference. Sometimes we don't think that something so small can make an impact but this story tells us that something so small is what made the difference.
First impressions aren't always correct. Not all you judge is right sometimes it is wrong
One moral lesson in "The Real Princess" is the value of authenticity and honesty. The story teaches us that true nobility comes from within and cannot be disguised or fabricated. It also emphasizes the importance of recognizing and appreciating genuine qualities in oneself and others.
Notice in the story, when the Queen let the Princess sleep at the twenty mattresses she graciously agreed. And when the princess past the test, the Prince marry her but not just because she's a real Princess. He marry her because she graciously agreed to sleep on the top of the twenty mattresses as the Queen let her. So, the Princess has a good character! :D ♥♥
I don't think its the best answer! :D

It is called the moral of the story.
To tell a story that gives a moral
The Carabao and Cow is an ancient legend. The moral lesson of the story is that animals have feelings and that nothing is what it appears to be.

Yes, a theme in a story can often convey a life lesson or moral. Themes explore universal truths, human experiences, and emotions through the events and characters in a narrative, providing insight and teaching valuable lessons that can be applied to real life situations.
The maxim illustrated by a parable or exemplum typically conveys a moral lesson or truth about human behavior or experiences. It serves as a concise statement or proverb that captures the essence of the story and can be applied to real-life situations.
I'm guessing it's imaginary- have you ever heard of a real princess who got told she was royal age 14 in the Plaza hotel? ;)
tale - a narrative that relates the details of some real orimaginary event, incident, or case; story fable - a short tale to teach a moral lesson, often with animals orinanimate objects as characters; apologue
No because this story is a myth. I read this book and it had things that are not real.
Princess Pea is a character in Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea." In the story, a prince seeks a true princess, and one arrives at his castle claiming to be one. To test her, the queen places a pea underneath several mattresses, and if the princess feels it, she is deemed a true princess.
Sensitivity. In this story the Prince is looking for a sensitive Princess one that has feelings, one who can feel things and have emotions. The story of 'The Princess and the Pea' is very deep in its tale that shows the class differences between the nobility and the commoner. In the story the real princess is sensitive to the pea being under the mattress. Most of the nobility were NOTsensitive.A Prince wants a wife. Can't find a true princess out of many he visits.A young lady comes to his door and is soaking wet from head to toe.The young lady claims to be a real princess.A test is devised. She must sleep on 20 mattresses with a pea on the bottom. She feels the pea in the mattress. And is claimed to be a real princess.I think the problem in princess and pea is that the princess can't sleep well...
In "The Princess and the Pea," the word preposterous means something that is absurd or unreasonable, such as the idea that a real princess would be so sensitive to a pea hidden under multiple mattresses. The word is used to emphasize the exaggerated nature of the princess's delicate nature in the story.
