There are several very accurate air guns and rifles. Air rifles used in the Olympics are the finest. As an example the P75 Biathlon competition air rifle will cost you around $2,623.
BB Guns on the other hand are not very accurate beyond 30 feet.
Accurate by whose standards? No BB gun is really very accurate, but within about 10 feet they can have a good group.
Actually a BB gun is an air gun. But an air gun also includes pellet guns and rifles. BB guns are the bottom end of the air gun family. Pellet guns are more accurate than BB guns and they usually cost more.
Yes, but I would use Pellets not BB's in the rifle. Pellets are more accurate and deform on impact. BB's are not as accurate and do not deform on impact.
You question is not quite accurate. Daisy never made a BB GUN model 101. They did make a number 101 model 36 BB RIFLE not a gun it was made in Plymouth Mich.
BB are inherently inaccurate. there is no best BB. The reason is the BB barrel is smooth and the BB tumbles as it is fired from the gun. Pellets usually are fired from a rifled barrel (One that has grooves in it) and they spin as they leave the barrel, making them more accurate. The only BB gun the I know of that spins the BB's is the Gamo P23, but you MUST use Gamo lead BB's. Lead is soft and conforms to the groves in the barrel just like a Pellet would. This makes the BB more accurate. Regular BB that are forced fired in a rifled barrel will destroy the rifling in the gun making it less accurate.
While many pellet guns are configured to be able to fire regular BB's, most BB guns cannot fire standard BB caliber pellets. To fire a pellet, the BB gun would have to be a breech loaded or break-barrel loaded design, and the pellets would have to be loaded single-shot.
Most U.S. states do not have a required age for a BB gun. The reason is, a BB gun is not classified as a firearm, so they do not fall under firearm regulations. That said, there may be some states that have stipulations on BB guns, but most don't.
If its a BB Gun, Then Yes.
In most cases it will be a BB gun. But Pellet guns exceed both the BB and the airsoft guns. Pellet guns can attain speeds over 1200 FPS.
Most good sporting good stores carry them. You can also find them on the web, just search for "BB GUN "
Most all Walmarts sell BB guns
Most BB guns use a "Smooth Bore" barrel. It just a hollow tube for a barrel. They are not consistently accurate. Speed does help some but not much. Pellet Guns and Rifles usually use a rifled barrel, one that has grooves in it. This makes the pallet spin and gives it more accuracy than a BB. There are combination BB and pellet guns made, but they are also smooth bore. I know of one BB/Pellet gun, the Gamo P-23, that is a combo bb/pellet gun. It uses a rifled barrel and special "Led BB's." The common Steel BB will ruin a rifled barrel that's why the Gamo P-23 uses "Led BB's." This barrel makes the BB spin and more accurate. Speed will increase the distance and power of a projectile.
