Charles and Effie Dickey of Canaan, Maine were the parents of 22 children, all single births, born between 1882 and 1911. All of the children survived to adulthood and married. Effie married Charles at 14, gave birth to her first child nine months and two days after the marriage at the age of 15, and had her 22nd child less than a month before she turned 45. Eighteen of the children lived into their 70s, 80s and 90s.
