What is the most valuable US coin? |
[Edit]
Answer
The highest price ever paid for a U.S. coin was $7.59 million in 2002 for the only legally ownable 1933 Double Eagle $20 gold coin.
However, 10 more of these coins were just seized by the U.S. Mint on Aug. 25. The family they were seized from will be suing to recover them, and if successful will surely make them less valuable, as they will no longer be unique.
