Mythbusters is a T.V. show that aims to test the validity of many urban myths, by first "replicating the circumstances, then replicating the results" - in other words, they test whether the myth actually could have happened in a normal or relative setting, then reproducing the results of the myth (which often involves explosions or objects travelling at high speed), and then giving the myth a 'Busted', (completely false), 'Plausible' (only used in some seasons) or 'Confirmed' (often verified by eyewitnesses, newspaper records or expert testimony) rating.
355 (there are a total of 599 myths - as of March 2011)
Too many to count, for an exact number go to answers.com and put in Mythbusters and the season and it will show a list of myths and if they are busted, plausible, or confirmed.
