I don't exactly know Maybe if you give me a better describtion I would be able to tell you but for right now I don't have enough information maybe it's movie Life is Ruff? I don't know. that one is About a Boy that wants a gotha man comic but doesnt have money so he gets a dog from his friend Emily at the dog shelter named Tico and then this kid Preston pretends to put up fake lost dog posters so that Calvin would give Tico to the "real" owners but they figure out it was all fake and Emily thinks Calvin doesn't love Tico but, he admits he didn't at first but now he does and wants him back and he goes on to win the dog show, gets the comic book, and helps out the dog shelter. Is that the movie you were thinking of? Probably not......
