Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN Ejercito Zapatista para la Liberacion Nacional) This is a militar and political organization that started in 1994, by manifesting its opposition towards NAFTA and globalization. This group is also against neoliberalism and defends the indigenous rights, democracy, liberty, justice and humanity. The EZLN was a reaction to the PRI regime because of the oppression against peasant and the working class movements. They also ask for the respect for indigenous people and culture and dignified jobs and education, also a creation of truly free and democratic elections by ending centralization of the government.
