As a layman what I know is that the normal heart rate of anyone aged 10+ is defined as 60-100 bpm, although there have been some studies suggesting lowering the top number to 85 for men and 90 for women (who usually have a slightly higher heart rate). I also know that children usually have a higher heart rate than do adults so my guess is that it would be more normal for a 14-year-old to be higher in that 60-100 range.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know what the average is exactly, but I'm fourteen and my resting heart rate is usually between 60 and 70 heart beats per minute. But one being slightly higher than that does not necessarily mean that it is unhealthy. If there were concerns about that then exercise would be helpful.

There is a difference between normal and healthy. A normal resting heart rate is pretty high, but I am a 13 year old girl among healthy people, and our resting heart rate range is 60-70. That's healthy.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I'm 14 right now as well and my usual resting heart rate is between 80-100. I'm quite athletic and I have no medical problems so... it all depends on you though.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm a 13 year old girl. I'm pretty athletic. My resting heart rate lies around 90. Whenever I run I see it sky rocket to 192... :|

I'm 14 and are very athletic (I dance, play soccer, and exercise daily) and my normal resting rate is between 80-90 and the highest resting was 130. Exercising is from 110-200 (I've gone to 210 before but that was after an hour exercise and ten minute run after that. (The norm. is 70-100) (Ex: right now it's (by it's i mean bpm/heart rate) about 90-96)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am a quite well exercised 13 year old ( well i am thirteen in 26 days ) and my heart beat in about 88 bpm which i think is a average person of my ages heart bpm.

13 years old is considered in the "adult" range for average heart rates.

This means a normal heart rate is anywhere between 60 and 100 beats per minute (BPM). For males, the average is 70, and 75 in females.

BPM can vary greatly from person to person, though. I'm fifteen (female), with an average BPM of around 80 or 85.

The normal heart rate for adults is between 60-100 beats per minute. However, medications and certain conditions can raise and lower your normal pulse rate. Additionally, people who are very physically fit sometimes have a much lower resting heart rate. See your doctor to determine what a proper heart rate is for yourself personally.

I would say that a good resting heart rate (like, you just woke up, or you have been sitting down for a while) is around 80-90. If you've been running around, it can get up to 180. Well, that's the highest it's been for me, when I was really working hard.

The best way to check your resting heart rate would be when you just wake up in the morning. Because you've been sleeping, though, it can be a bit lower than 80.

same as an adult 60-100bpm

lower = bradycardia, higher = tachycardia

I am thirteen and mine is 92. My friends is 103. We just did a heart rate experiment in science class.

Normal resting heart rate for 45 year old male?

Resting heart rate is the number of times your heart beats per minute when it's at rest. The best time to find your resting heart rate is in the morning after a good night's sleep and before you get out of bed. The average resting heart rate for an adult is 60-80 beats per minute. However, for people who are physically fit, it's generally lower. Also, resting heart rate usually rises with age. - From the American Heart Association.

What is normal heart rate for a 19 year old male?

resting heart rate is how many times your heart beats, at complete rest.... like when you wake up in the morning... it should be around 70.. anything over 89 is unhealthy... lance Armstrong's resting HR is around 35 i believe... If your testing it correctly and still have one of 120 i suggest you take on some gradual exercise.. and work your way up.. resting heart rate is how many times your heart beats, at complete rest.... like when you wake up in the morning... it should be around 70.. anything over 89 is unhealthy... lance Armstrong's resting HR is around 35 i believe...
