Who knows? Typically engine life is more a function of oil volume rather than pressure, but oil volume is difficult to measure. The oil pressure on these trucks goes up and down as you drive. At idle it can get frighteningly low after the engine has some miles on it. I use a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer to replace one quart of oil at oil change. This seems to help all the way around. My 98 has 275,000 miles.
?
It should be 30-35 psi with the engine running.
where is the oil pressure switch on a 1999 chevy surburban
do fuel pressure test
NO nothing hooks to it.
195 to 210 degrees. Is normal. 215 degrees will not hurt anything.
Between 55-60 psi
To find the misfire, check the crankshaft sensor on the 1999 suburban. Check for the proper fuel pressure, and check the ignition coils.
I am an ASE certified technician. Your normal engine or coolant temp should be 190 - 210.
with the ignition switch OFF, break the fuel lines loose slowly. there may be some fuel leak out, but that is normal.
No you can not, It is under to much pressure when engine is running. NEED to REPLACE IT.
How do you replace a starter in a 1999 suburban
Then you have a BAD fuel pump. Replace the pump and filter. If it is higher then 63 LBS. then the fuel pressure regulator is bad.
