Finland has two official languages. The first is Finnish, which is the native language of 92% of the population of Finland. Swedish is the second offical language, and is spoken by nearly 6% of the population. Finland also has native speakers of Sami (the language of the Sami people, also known as Lapps or Laplanders) and Russian.
