The USS Constitution was commissioned in 1797 and is still in active service and the HMS Victory was commissioned in 1778 by the Royal Navy and is in active service. These are kept active for sentimental reasons, but they are in active service in both Navies

∙ 14y agoThe USS Constitution still holds the title as the oldest active Navy ship, though her status is ceremonial rather than official. Until her retirement from active service in January 2009, the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) was the oldest active Navy commissioned vessel on full active status.

∙ 11y agoThe 2 oldest commissioned warships in the U.S. Navy are the USS Constitution (ordered in 1794 as one of the six original U.S. Navy's frigates), and the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), the world's first nuclear powered carrier.
The Enterprise is currently on her final deployment, and scheduled to be decommissioned in March 2013.
