The first Batman films are the Batman serials, Batman released in 1943 and the sequel Batman and Robin released in 1949. Batman's next film was released in 1966 titled Batman, which is the first full-length theatrical film. Yet another film titled Batman released in 1989 with it's sequel Batman Returns in 1992.Batman the Mask of the Phantasm was planned to be a direct to video movie but had a theatrical release in 1993. Next comes Batman Forever released in 1995 and Batman and Robin in 1997. And finally the most recent theatrical films the Dark Knight trilogy, Batman Begins released in 2005, The Dark Knight in 2008, and the Dark Knight Rises in 2012.
