Answer:
I believe this is a metaphor meaning after all the life you live, and after everything you have went through, rewards become apparent after work, and though they may seem to be impossible to reach, they are there if only you believe they are, such as growing old. You may find this as a burden, a burden at the end of a long journey, but if you just believe in the good that growing old has brought you, you see the immense knowledge you have gained, the family that surrounds you, the impacts you have made on the world. This is what I feel the pot of gold at the end of your rainbow means, so keep looking forward, and soon you are sure to find your pot of gold.
Answer:
You can reach the end of a rainbow! I did by driving through the end of a huge rainbow on the freeway. I think the origin of the of the "pot of gold" is this: on reaching the spot, we were enveloped in an overwhelming gold-hued "aura". It was very soft and beautiful and spectacular and felt like a place you never wanted to leave. Time seemed to be suspended in the awe of the moment. Why gold and not any of the colours of the spectrum? Don't know; it's all about how our eyes and brains interpret the waves of light. But know this: if you ever get to experience this rare event you will never forget it!
Answer:
I heard the pot of gold is a pot of spuds and it came around during the famine in Ireland. Parents would tell there children when ever a rainbow occurs that a pot of spuds is waiting for them at the end of the rainbow, (and back then a pot of spuds wood be as vaulable as a pot of gold) so when a rainbow appeared they children would go look for the pot of spuds and get lost when it goes and now the parents have less to feed.
No, the idea that there is a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow is simply a myth or legend. Rainbows are a natural meteorological phenomenon caused by the refraction and dispersion of sunlight in water droplets, and they do not have a physical end point where you can find a pot of gold.
No, there is no end to a rainbow. The rainbow is caused my moisture in the sky reflecting the light of the sun, so, although it seems like it is touching the ground, it never ends, therefor meaning there is no place to put said pot of gold.
No. That is just a myth. A rainbow is simply light refracted through water droplets. There is no real connection with gold whatsoever.
In Irish folklore, there is a saying that if you follow a rainbow, you will find a pot of gold at the end. The tale also says that a leprechaun will be waiting near his pot of gold.
There isn't a nickname for the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. It is just called 'the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow'.
No. A rainbow is light refracted through water droplets.
People in Ireland, in the olden days, believed that there lies a pot of gold at end of the rainbow. Nowadays, the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow means the realization of dreams.
Realistically, There is no end to a rainbow, for the reason that a rainbow is a circle of continuous light. Unrealistically, a leprechaun hide gold at the end of a rainbow, at the time no one knowing that there is no end to a rainbow. Why gold? It was a pot of gold because gold was a precious metal and Ireland has no gold, unless imported. Gold being higher than silver in the market. A pot of gold meant lot of $$$
Not at the end of the rainbow- since there is no end to a rainbow.
I hate to disappoint you, but there is no "why" because there's no pot. In fact, there's no "end of the rainbow".
at the end of the rainbow
There is not a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. If you thought that there was, the isn't. It's just an old tale, and there can't be a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow because a rainbow is a circle. The other halve that we can't see is invisible.
I hate to disappoint you, but there is no "why" because there's no pot. In fact, there's no "end of the rainbow".
Leprechauns, the mythological fairy-folk of Ireland, are said to have a pot of gold which can be found at the end of a rainbow.
