What is the origin of the name Ingram?

[Edit]

Ingram is a germanic name, composed of the words Ing + Ram(n). "Ramn" is old german for "raven". Ing was another name for the ancient germanic god Freyr, god of fertility and peace (and legendary ancestor of the Ingaevones, Germanic peoples of the North Sea). Therefore Ingram means "Ing's Raven".
