This is not a phobia. Nor is it an anxiety. There are no labels for a person who has a fear of 'midgets'.
The word 'midget' is itself widely acknowledged to be an abusive term, usually applied to people of very short stature. The word 'midget' is widely considered to be a stereotype.
A person who has a fear of 'midgets' is, most properly addressed by their name - jimmy, alphonse, jennie and so forth: there is no group noun.
A fear of anything may be realistic or non-realistic - it depends upon the particular cirumstances and situation in which the fear is aroused. Some fears are healthy for humans eg. fear of being run over while crossing the road - the fear triggers alertness for real possibilities.
The fear of midgets is called achonroplasiaphobia. Some symptoms of this when you see or sometimes even think of a midget is dry mouth and being shaky or stunned.
Many people are calling this a faux phobia, for the reason that this phobia has never been discovered/realized before to psychologists. This fear has no name to date.
The fear of 'midgets' is technically called birchophobia.
