Don't judge a book by it's cover. I saw the movie in a class just recently.. I thought this was a very confusing message and hard to understand. Though I thought Sir Percy (Scarlet Pimpernel) was a pretty funny guy when he said, "Sink me."

The main message is that sometimes things aren't always how they appear to be.

what is a plot of a story

The series of novels tell the story of a very unlikely hero who used to save many French people (mainly aristocrats and opponents of the Republique) during the period called "the Terror". He masqueraded as a good-for-nothing English aristocrat and he used the code name "Scarlet Pimpernel" (a wild flower).

Justice. Sir Anthony says in his conversation with the Comtesse de Tournay that they rescue people "for sport". When Marguerite guesses her husband's secret she tells herself that he does it for "sheer sport and devilry... saving men, women and children from death." However, it is apparent that Sir Percy detests the tyranny of the French Revolutionary Tribunal and is determined to thwart it.

Sir Percy has also given his word to Comte de Tournay and the other fugitives that he would rescue them and his honour is the most important thing to him.

It also amuses him to have this derring-do alter ego as he poses as a fashionable fop at the English court. He delights in taunting de Tinville, the French Public Prosecutor by sending him impudent notes.
