The somewhat Beverly-Hillbillies like Tuck family are immortal by virtue of magical waters. ( a somewhat similar but- jungle-oriented plot device was used in a film called Tarzan"s magic fountain!) The secretive nature of their life source leads one of the characters to take human life- and this is certainly not good. Granny might have gotten ornery in Beverly Hillbillies, but did not go gunning or clubbing down neighbors or eavesdroppers!
