The primary goal for initial MOS selection is to fill those jobs that the selected branch is in need of at that time. If you think you want to hold out until you get what you want think again, MOS's come and go every second, think about the thousands of potential Soldier's, Sailor's, Marines and Airmen going through MEP's that daily all across the Country. They have to fill the slots needed while still wanting to trying to give each person somewhat what they want.
