What is the proper salutation for a lawyer with a JD? |
[Edit] |
[Edit]
In the U.S.A., lawyes are addressed as Mr., Mrs., Miss, or Ms; reference to the JD is not usually called for. Some lawyers style themselves "Esq." (esquire) and prefer that written communications be addressed to them that way. (Example: "John Doe, Esq. -- Dear Mr. Doe")
