Folktales are important because they preserve and pass down cultural beliefs, values, and traditions from one generation to another. They often contain moral lessons, offer insights into a community's collective identity, and provide a sense of connection and shared history among people. Folktales also serve as a form of entertainment and can help people make sense of the world around them.

Folklore is about two people, Ellen and Keats, who come to the village Doolin and meet by coinceidence. Ellen, a 22 year old girl, was sent a letter from the mother whom she thought was dead. She sets out to Doolin immediately. Keats, a reporter of an occult magazine, gets called by some one asking for help. In both the letter and phone call, the hero/heroine is told to go to the Cliff of Sidhe. That is the beginning of their journey.

Doolin is a nearly abandoned village that is rumoured to have a link to the world of the dead. You either control Ellen or Keats and make your way through the seven worlds of the Land of the Dead, the NetherWorld.

This game is divided by chapters. When you start the game, you only have two Folks to control. Folks are human spirits that go into the Netherworld after the body dies, and make a Folk body out of the ground, trees, etc.

At the end of each world, there is a Folklore you have to beat to move on. Yes, Folklores are the Bosses.

Battling is quite easy and really fun! It was the first RPG battle game I've ever bought, and I love it. It's great for beginners and masters alike.

Hope I helped!

A fairy tale usually has one of two or both of these purposes. To put a child to sleep, or to give a moral, the lesson of a story.
