A Christian asked a Muslim: why do your women cover their bodies and hair?

The Muslim smiled and got two sweets he opened the first one and kept the other one closed. He threw them both on to the dusty floor and asked the Christian if I asked you to take one of the sweets which one will you choose.

The Christian replied: the covered one

Then the Muslim said: in the same way that the wrapper protected its sweet from the dust the hijab protects our ladies from the sins and bad of this world.

Hijab prevents molestation

The reason why Hijab is prescribed for women is mentioned in the Qur'an in the

following verses of Surah Al-Ahzab:

"O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women

that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when

abroad); that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such)

and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

[Al-Qur'an 33:59]

The Qur'an says that Hijab has been prescribed for the women so that they are

recognized as modest women and this will also prevent them from being

molested.

Do you like hijab?

The religion is a choice. If you made your choice to be Muslim, then you commit your self with Islam religion requirements, Allah (God in English) commands and prophet Muhammad teachings. Since hijab is a religion requirement, then there is no room to ask yourself whether you like it or not. It is a must and you should adopt wearing hijab, as a Muslim woman, since it is God command. Failing to do so, you should know, as a Muslim woman, that you committed deviation from Islam religion requirements. On the other hand, why I, as a Muslim woman, don't like the hijab although wearing hijab:makes me happy that I am satisfying Allah (God in English) and prophet Muhammad (PBUH),gives me feeling of modesty, andprotects me from being sexually attractive to others. In addition to the fact that wearing hijab is an Islamic requirement and is a command by God and Prophet Mohamed (peace upon him), the following are other logistics and benefits of wearing hijab:Men would not judge the woman by her appearance but would tend to evaluate her by her personality, character, and morals.Wearing a hijab helps in preventing indecent acts or thoughts. When wearing a hijab, one feels more modest, having more self respect and confidence.People actually evaluate the one wearing the Hijab based on who she is and not on how beautiful she is.by wearing hijab, one doesn't worry about her my hair if not beautiful or needs more cosmetics.Hijab provides Muslims with an identity. They don't have to tell people they are Muslims. It shows.By wearing hijab, the woman is concealing her sexuality but allowing her femininity to shine. On top of the above, wearing hijab is something that is pleasing to Allah and in return one earns blessings from wearing it.
