∙ 13y agoKids under 12 should not take aspirin. It can cause something called Reye's syndrome, which can be fatal. This is especially true if they have a fever, chicken pox, or flu symptoms. There are children's versions of other pain/fever medication over the counter at most drug stores. Our pediatrician tells us children's Advil whenever we call her for various things. You may want to double check with yours.
