250 pounds.

This is not a correct answer. It all depends on the commode. A Kohler K-4330 has a maximum of 500lbs and it is wall mounted. I do not know on other brands but you would have to check with the manufacture (As I did) to see the weight limit of any specific commode.

Both answers are correct/incorrect:

The load rating is only as good as the installation. If the toilet is hung on a cinder block wall with lead/plastic seating anchor bolts and grouted in using regular grout it won't hold more than about 200# (assuming a 200# person sits very lightly).

If the toilet is hung on a reinforced CONCRETE wall using stainless steel anchors set in epoxy then it will easily exceed the manufacturer's load rating.

If the toilet is anchored to concrete (as mentioned above) and grouted in with a quality epoxy based grout it will be able to handle 500+ pounds with ease, but I pity the person who ever has to take out that toilet
