In chapter 23 Jonas is still on his way "elsewhere". He is going up a mountain and then he is losing a lot of memories and cant keep Gabe and himself warm. Suddenly he feels numb and cant feel his legs and he keeps going though and at the top of the mountain he sees a sled ( like the one he received in his 1st memory from the giver). At the very end, he hears what is called music.
Chapter 6 of "The Giver" is set in the evening at the Ceremony of Twelve, where Jonas and the other Elevens are assigned their future roles in the community. The chapter takes place in the Auditorium, where the Community gathers for important events and ceremonies.
