torque settings for cylinder head bolts
THis ain't no question
Get a manual on your car and it will give you the settings of the intake, exhaust bolts plus the head bolts and torque pattern.
95Nm then 180 degrees twice
The torque settings are 40 to 45lb/ft for the outer row, 65 to 70 for the centre to inner row. Haynes (Methuen & Coomber 1999) doesn't specify any particular order for refitting the head bolts; follow the standard automotive practice of tightening the ones furthest apart and moving inwards.
initially you tighten all bost to 28 newton metres then you angle tighten by 90 degrees leave for 5 mins and angle tighten by another 90 degrees this information was supplied to me by a trained rover mechanic i did it on my metro 1.1 on a j reg and it was fine
