Store below 25°C. Shelf-life for all strengths is 3 years when stored at or below 25°C.

Oxycodone's stated shelf life (period it's good from date of manufacture) of three years if stored below 77 degrees F. But, it doesn't work the same for three years and suddenly quit working. The potency declines more or less steadily and someone has decided that the cutoff point for this decline is three years. It continues to be effective after the cutoff with continuing decline in potency.

I would say after a year, Oxycodone would start to loose it effectiveness. From personal experience, after one year, you are at risk for having vomiting and nausea 2 days later if you ingest expired Oxycodone.

According to my neurosurgeon, as long as it is stored according to the directions (in a dry place and away from direct light), the shelf life of hydrocodone/APAP is virtually unlimited.
