Hey Mona==Get it checked out before you ruin the engine. If the gauge is gound into the red there is a problem somewhere. If you ignore it you can ruin the engine which is megabucks. GoodluckJoe
i had the exact same problem with our 91 voyager, i cleaned the battery terminals and the problem went away immediately
Check the fuse.
The check gauge light on a 2000 Chevy blazer could be several things. The oil could be low or the other fluids may be low. Take notice of all the gauges. One or more may be out of its normal parameter notifying you there is a problem.
Check your heater hoses, that's where the water ciruclates into the heater from the water pump.
if there is backfire, check the exhaust restriction....
It means that one or more of the gauges is out of the safe zone.
The check gauges light comes on when one of the guages is out side of the safe zone. It could be battery voltage, oil pressure, engine temp....
Check the gauges. One or more of the gauges must be out of normal range to trip the "check gauges" light.
The check gauges light means that one of the gauges is out of the safe range.
it comes on when you need gas
Answer location of check gauges lightthe check gauges light is on your instrument panel when it comes on it lights up saying check gauges
When the check gauges light comes on it is telling you to check the gauges because at least one of the gauges is out of normal range. It could be low oil pressure, engine over heating or low voltage.
'check gauges' means one of your dash warning gauges went beyond normal paramaters, alerting a problem... my guess is- it's your oil pressure gauge....CHECK YOUR OIL level... if the level is low, when the truck leans (as when you exit an off ramp) the oil pressure will drop.
There is a fuse for the gauges, check it.
The check gauges light stays on when one of the gauges is out of the safe or normal range.
My older Blazer has a 'check engine' light and also a 'check gauges' light. When the 'check gauges' light is on, check your other gauges like the temp and volt gauges. One of them may be showing something different than normal.
When one of your gauges shows something abnormal, your "check gauges" light will come one. Chances are you're low on motor oil. When you corner, the oil will slosh away from the pickup, causing your oil pressure gauge to read zero for a second. This in turn causes your check gauges light to come on, but by the time you look at your gauges, the oil has settled in the pan is your oil pressure is reading normal again. When you see the check gauges light and the gauges are reading fine, check your oil.
