In general both sexes are capable of the same mental processing and neither is de facto 'smarter'.

Generally males have more spacial sense while women are more perceptive, however this is primarily a result of nurture as opposed to being male or female. The corpus callosum which regulates transmissions between left and right brains are larger in women, so women are generally more dexterous and better at multitasking, while men have more grey matter which is related to muscle control and the senses. Men generally have larger brains, however this in no way impacts intelligence. IQ tests have favored both men and women and are generally subjective as to judge intelligence.

It's impossible to judge by the number of male and female intellectuals as in most countries women haven't been allowed the vote until this past century and have been conditioned for centuries previous to take a more passive knowledgeable role.

This is a tough question. Usually with pet mice females are much smarter, they are usually the ones to find a way out of the cage first, and also learn faster when it comes to tricks, yes tricks! But with wild mice it is debatable. I have only even caught female mice in my humane traps out in the wild. This is either because they fall for the trap or because two to four females live with every one male. It could just be the number ratio, or maybe it could be the fact that male mice don't usually fall for traps and ergo, smarter.

Sorry but I disagree with the paragraph above...

To say male mice "don't fall for traps" in the wild and are therefore smarter is silly logic!

You failed to see the reasons why you have trapped only female mice. It is not because the female mice are less intelligent than male mice. It's because in the wild, it's the females job to go outside and hunt, leave the burrow to find the food for the rest of the family. Female mice are the ones that do the foraging, collecting, kill prey, and hunt out to bring back for the babies and males. The males are the ones that stay home and protect the home from predators, and keep the babies safe and warm. Males are bigger and heavier on their feet, they have large dragging testes so they make better to protect the fort, where as females are lighter bodied than the male, so they are quicker, faster, more agile and better apt for escaping prey.

So that is why you only caught female mice. Hence, neither one is smarter, but just have different responsibilities. facial...
