What is the standard celing height?

[Edit]

standards vary. generally speaking high ceilings are considered a luxury standard. many common early 20th century houses had 10 and 12 ft or higher ceilings. today 8 feet is a basic standard while 9 or 10ft is more of a luxury standard and of course they can be higher.
