It is usually referred to as a nutrient dense "Super Food".
Respiration is the answer. Respiration is the process which releases chemical bond energy from organic nutrients(food).
Junk food tends to be very high in calories, sugars, simple carbohydrates, and fats. These are unhealthy and can cause weight gain, poor digestion, indigestion, constipation, diabetes, and heart problems.

An empty calories is a loose term that refers to a food / drink that contains calories of no nutritional value. In other words, all of the calories are not "good". They do not come from vitamins, minerlas, calcium, fiber, ect. Instead, most will come from sugars or fats, and the calories in general are not needed nor are they a help for the body.
Kj means Kilojoules, which is another term for "calories".
There is nothing 'unhealthy' about vanilla wafers. "Healthy" has become a less than scientific term. Some would say that the wafers offer little real nutrients and have a lot of 'empty calories'. There is no such thing as empty calories. If your body needs energy, sugar is great. If your body does not need calories, don't eat. If that seems simplistic, it is, but I am pro human - unlike many 'food terrorists' (a term coined by Julia Child). There is over eating, there is eating a diet that is not balanced to give you the calories, nutrients, fiber, etc. that you need, there is under eating when you have people wasting away. No one food is really 'unhealthy' or 'healthy' without a look at your overall diet and activity level. Study deeper than 'healthy', research what your body needs.
Kcal is just the short term phrase for calories, 160 Calories = 160 kcals Calories are just written as the term 'Kcal' on food labels because it is shorter, and can fit onto the little label. It is the scientific definition of the work calorie. 1kcal= 1calories kcal and calories are the same thing. :)
Decadent foods are usually those that are rich, expensive, and high in calories. This term is most often used to describe rich desserts but is also applied to rare meats and fish.
