1.The tiger lives and hunts alone

2. The tiger is the biggest cat in the world

3. The Tigers' striped coat helps them camouflage, enabling them to blend in well with the sunlight filtering through the treetops to the jungle floor. Their camouflage to their surroundings is enhanced because the striping also helps break up their body shape, making them difficult to detect for unsuspecting prey.

4. Tigers catch live prey and eat meat so they have sharp teeth.

5. They have retractable claws.

6. The tiger's sense of hearing is so sharp that they are capable of hearing infra sound, which is a sound wave below the range of normally audible sound (20 hertz). Tigers use infra sound to communicate over long distances or dense forest vegetation because the sound is capable of passing through a variety of mediums such as trees and mountains.

I'm gonna give you the best answer I can here but it's patchy at best and might be wrong at some points.

A group of large cats from Africa move to Asia. The bamboo forests and reeds around the bodies of water makes stripes a useful adaptation. The water ways make swimming a good thing ( Behavioral adaptation). Size came because of the prey these big cats had to kill.

The various stages of post-birth development in Kittens are as follows: * Basic motor-functions: Within a few minutes to a few hours, the kitten will be partially mobile. Instinct will take over, and with some parental nurture, the kitten will begin to suckle from its mother. * Vocalisation: Kittens instinctively know how to scream & shout. They do this almost immediately (albeit very quietly) * Improvement of motor functions: As the kitten gains strength from its mothers' milk, its musculature will develope and it will learn to stand. It will not be fully mobile yet, however, as its' sight and hearing may not be functional at this stage. * Fur growth: This will happen as the kittens body grows stronger. A full coat of fur is usually grown by around the age of two to six weeks. * Development of the senses: Anywhere up to a few weeks, kittens will open their eyes for the first time. This will usually be around the same time as their hearing becomes properly functional. Kittens are at their most curious at this time and it can be great fun to watch them falling all over the place in a vain effort to explore their surroundings! * Learning to walk: As the kittens' hearing and sight develope, it will gradually learn to walk. It's normal for young kittens to fall over a lot; this is because their sense of ballance has not yet developed... this comes with the complete development of hearing and sight. * Brain development: Taking place over the same period as the previous two stages, this will continue until the kitten has reached adulthood. It will learn about everything it sees and does and will remember the things it needs in order to become an adult. It will also learn lots of ways of getting into the places you don't want it to go! Over the next three stages, expect the kitten to be at its most mischievous! * Sense of smell: Kittens have a diminutive sense of smell until their brain becomes developed enough to process more information. It will gradually improve over time, and eventually your adolescant cat will be able to smell the dinner you put down for it from over a mile away! * Development of the digestive system: By four to six months the kitten should usually be able to digest solid food. Its body will squeeze every tiny bit of nutrition from the food, so expect liquid faeces for a while. With food it will also crave water in greater abundance. Processed milk is not recommendable for cats or kittens. * Learning to hunt: Kittens instinctively want to hunt by the age of around two to three months. They will jump about the place and play-fight their sibblings in order to learn the skills necessary to become an adult. * Full motor development: Mobility and orientation are usually fully developed by the age of six to eight months. This will mean the kitten can walk without falling over, climb, see, hear and smell as well as an adult cat. The kitten is now an adolescant. At this point, it will discover the joys of the opposite sex, and enter a feline puberty of sorts. * "Puberty": This doesn't take long in cats, but is usually fast & furious. For female kittens, this is the time they will most likely fall pregnant. It is advisable to have females spayed and males neutered by the age of seven to eight months. By the time puberty is over, the kitten will have developed fully into an adult cat. It will know all the skills it needs to survive and will be well on the way to learning many more besides.

• Tigers adapt to their environment by evolving camouflaged fur, stealthy hunting habits and very large size.

• Because they are only successful at about one out of 20 hunts, tigers consume very large prey to ensure they get enough food to eat.

• The tiger’s stripes are an effective method of camouflage. The orange and black striped pattern blends seamlessly with the tall grasses and forests that they hunt.

• In the forests where the tigers live, the light filters through the trees, creating a shadow. The pattern of the tigers' fur matches that shadow, allowing it to blend into its environment. This way, the tiger can sneak up on its prey without the prey spotting.

• the size of tigers allows them to hunt exceptionally large prey.
