Christian Laettner
Michele Bachmann is a Christian but she says she considers her heritage to be Jewish because it is the foundation and roots of her faith as a Christian. She has traveled to Israel four times (once as a young girl and three times as a member of Congress). To announce her candidacy she referenced her faith as a source for her desire to serve as president. Technically, she was a long-time member of a the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, which is a very small and theologically conservative branch of the Lutheran faith. For comparison, the main American Lutheran Church is the Evangelical Lutheran Church of American (ELCA) has at 4.5 million members, the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) has 2.4 million, while the WELS has under 400,000. She recently changed attendance to that of the Eagle Brook Church, an Evangelical Christian mega-church located closer to her residence. Eagle Brook is not a member of any larger religious organization, being one of the myriad of individual evangelical Christian churches in the US. Theologically, the Eagle Brook Church was originally based on the Baptist faith, but has evolved away from that significantly, so it would be impossible to classify it as anything other than simply evangelical Christian.
A hand basket was used as a metaphor in the US in the 1900s evangelical movements to scare nonbelievers. The phrase "going to hell in a handbasket" is the alliterative idiom that means a general breakdown of morality or proper Christian behavior.
Yes. I alctually attended this school and I'm currently attending college.
Fashion Institute of Technology is top rated and so is Berkeley, The Art Institutes, Westwood College, and Keiser.
Well, I can say that I have ignored more evangelical latinos than what i have met.
Yes, there are many of us in fact. Typical case is the Christian who does not support the Democrat position on abortion but does support the biblical social policies (help your neighbor) of the left. People are often surprised to find just how many Dems are sitting in evangelical churches in the US!
1. UNC Chapel Hill 2. Duke University 3. Davidson University these are the top three college rated in the USA by local USA college rankings
(in the US) Not exactly certain what the questioner means by a "Christian College." If that is in reference to a Religious Seminary, then no, you would not be able to get public funds (tax supported money) to pay for that tuition - although I'm sure that there are scholarships that are available that might assist you - just no 'public' funds.
