The 1999 7.3 L F-series features an intercooler (not available in vans), a smaller turbocharger, & larger 120 cc injectors compared to the 1996 Power Stroke's 90 cc injectors. The 1996 has a larger non-wastegated turbocharger, while the 1999 is wastegated. Compression, engine tuning, & rotating assembly is the same in 1996 & 1999 models.
