This information is in your owner's manual and that is the most reliable source. Mine says that you can pull 1000 pounds or 2000 pounds with electric brakes. It's no picnic towing a trailer with a Subaru but for occasional use hauling the pedal boat down to the lake or bringing a new vanity from the home center, it beats having to buy another vehicle. --Ken
