In civil marriages a man and a woman are married until one of them dies. The marriage is then null and void. The couple are no longer husband and wife. We have to ask ourselves "Why must a happy marriage have to end in death, why can it not carry on in the next life?" Under the proper Priesthood authority a worth couple can be sealed for time and all eternity to each other and have their children sealed to them also. Families were meant to be forever.

The sealing does not stop with just a couple and their children being sealed, they can be sealed to all of their ancestors who have gone on before so making an unbreakable chain of families right back to father Adam and mother Eve.

Have you ever though just why millions of people now have the desire to search out the kindred dread. They do not know why, only that the urge to do so is there. Why is it that they submit their work so that their records can be added to the millions of names now held by the Latter Day Saint Church. They do not yet fully understand this need to do so, but they do it.

Eventually all mankind will receive the sealing ordinances performed in the hundreds of Mormon temple now being built all over the world. And the work will not just go on in this time periods, but will carry on through the Millennium for which purpose this time has been set apart.

A last word and that is the sealing is not compulsory, it will only be effective if the person who's name is put forward wishes to accept the sealing. Man will have his agency even in the next life. Also if the nearest living relative of the deceased does not wish any work to be done then their request is respected. It will all be left in the hands of the Lord.
