No it is not . 925 is a hallmark for silver. A lot of gold and silver jewellery made in Italy that is purchasd in UK will have the appropriate fineness number, and 'Italy' hallmarked onto it.

925 Italy is a very common hallmark on sterling silver chains purchased in the UK.

Yes, there is some value, primarily in the silver content, dependent upon weight.

925 represents 92.5% silver content, otherwise known as Sterling Silver. The remaining 7.5% can be made up of other metals, normally copper.

If there are no other stamps (Hallmark) on the jewelry besides 925 Made in Italy, then whoever made the jewelry is in violation of SEC regulations. There must be registered trademark / Hallmark in close proximity of fineness stamp of the base metal.
