What is the value of a 1902 22 caliber Remington Model 6?

The price is what you are willing to sell it for is what i was told by a avid gun collector. I have a rem mod #4 falling block 22 cal, and remington couldn't tell me how many were made or when. Stating records were not on computer and would be hard to locate. If this is an heir loom as mine, price will take on more value. Value for a gun for sell is determined by condition over all and especially of lock and bore.

AF Grass - Lots of the manufacturers don't know anything about their production in "olden times". Luckily, they will let serious students of the craft study their old records. The Standard Catalog of Firearms and The Blue Book of Gun Values report different production figures for your #4 rolling block (50,000 and 350,000 respectively) but agree that they were manufactured from 1890 to 1933. They're not too close on values either if you look at the low and high ends of the scale, but in the mid range (SCofF Good and Very Good or BBofGV 60-70%) agree on a value of $300-$400.

And for the #6 in the original question, BBofGV says 497,000 mfg 1901-33 and SCofF says over 250,000 mfg 1902 and 1903. Values given in grades up to Very Good/70% are pretty close, starting at $75 for Poor/10% and going up to $300/$275. BBofGV goes up to $500 for 95% and SCofF only to $350 for Excellent.
