There were two different types of $10 bill issued with that date, blue-seal silver certificates and green-seal federal reserve notes. Retail values as of 07/2010:

Blue-seal Silver certificates:

1934 $13.-$25 depending on wear; $75 or more uncirculated.

1934A $13.-$30; $125 unc.

1934B $50.-$300; $2000 unc

1934C,D $20.-$60; $100 unc.

Green-seal Federal Reserve Notes:

1934 - all series letters $12.-$20 circulated; $35 unc.

Certain special bills printed during WWII can be much more valuable. These had yellow seals for use by troops in North Africa, or brown seals for use in Hawaii.

Serial Numbers

It's normally not necessary to provide a bill's serial number. Serial numbers are counters and a security feature but rarely affect a bill's value. Some collectors will pay extra for numbers with a special pattern, e.g. 12345678, or low numbers such as 00000015.

Despite the 1934 date, yellow-seal bills were actually printed during WWII for use by troops in North Africa. Please check your bill again and post a new, separate question. "D" is the highest series letter for 1934 US $10 bills. If that's the case, please see the question "What is the value of a 1934 US 10 dollar Federal Reserve note?"

What is the value of a 1934 G US 10 dollar bill?

There was never a 1934 G US $10 bill. The highest series letter, which appears by the date, was D. The "G" is almost certainly the letter code for the Chicago Federal Reserve District that distributed the bill; that's not the same as the series letter. Check to see what letter is next to the date. It could be blank or A to D. Then see "What is the value of a 1934 [letter] US 10 dollar bill?" for more information.
