What is the value of a 1962 penny? |
[Edit] |
Answer
Since there were so many of them minted, in circulated condition it has no added value. A nice uncirculated mint red one may be worth 5 cents.
Answer
I assume you mean a U.S. cent ... even though we use the term penny, that's really a British coin ... and a "Penney" (with 2 E's) is a department store, LOL!
1962 cents are very common and still in circulation. Unless yours is in uncirculated or proof condition, it's worth face value.
1962 Lincoln Type, Memorial Reverse Cent, uncirculated is worth $0.10, Proof is worth $1.00.
