What is the value of a 1964 gibson les paul deluxe sunburst pattern?

[Edit]

Answer

Gibson didn't make Les Paul Deluxes in 1964. The first Deluxes appeared in '68 when the single-cut Les Paul models were re-introduced. Lester's contract with them expired in 1962, and he let it lapse largely because they stopped making "Les Pauls" in 1960 and were putting his name on SGs, of which he wasn't so fond. The date code on the pots are the best way to date a Gibson from this period, although the serial numbers aren't as hectic as they became several years later.
