These coins are no longer in circulation since Irelands changeover to the Euro in 2002.

Unless they are part of a Proof or Uncirculated mint set or are individual Proof or Uncirculated coins and in absolute mint condition, they have little or no value.

There were an unspecified, but small quantity of 1985 Eire (Irish) 20 Pence coins minted for testing purposes in vending machines, etc.

The majority were recalled and melted down, but a few inevitably escaped the recall and wound up with collectors.

It is currently thought that there may be 5 to 10 coins still in existence, but there are definitely at least four.

Depending on the condition, these escapee 20 Pence coins might fetch anything from £1,000 to £6,000 GBP.

A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.

What is the value of an 1861 Eire 50 Pence coin?

Please check that date again. Ireland (Eire in Gaelic) did not use decimal denomination coins until 1970, and in any case, the country was under British rule in 1861 so a coin from that date would not have its inscriptions in Gaelic. Look at the coin again"Eire" is read while it is at the top of the coin. If you rotate the coin so that the numbers are at the top you will see that the date is actually "1981". The Irish (or Eire) 50 Pence coin was not introduced into the currency until 1970.
