i think it is worth around 40 cents

hi, i just got the same coin, and mine is a couple years younger than yours, it was made in 1961, and mine is worth about 12$ (american)
if u want the currency, its:
Monetary System
10 Mils (Wen, Ch'ien) = 1 Cent (Hsien)
10 Cents = 1 Chiao
100 Cents = 10 Chiao = 1 Dollar (Yuan)
so in others words if u went to a currency bank, they'd give u about 1$ for it. hope that helps u out. :)
This is a common coin. All coin collectors want "mint" or "very fine" specimens of the coins in their collections unless the coin is an absolute rarity in which case they might accept lesser conditons. If your coin is in top condition, then it may have a nominal value. If not, it is virtually worthless.
More information is needed. What country is the coin from? What image appears on the other side? What condition is it in? Please post a new question with those details to help ID your coin. On front - it does not say where from? On back - queen elizabeth the second
Queen elizabeth the eighteenth
