Value of a Wayne Gretzky Rookie Card
I would purchase it for $1,500.
Answer
It all depends on demand, how much somebody is willing to pay for it. However in the hockey card trading world a mint condition o-pee-chee rookie is worth about $900.00 Us dollars.
Answer
I know that book value is around $900.00 US. But I have seen them sell on e-bay for over $9000.00 Can.(this was a 9.0 graded by beckett). Steve-o..
Answer
Book value is $900, however they routinely sell for much less. I think book value is really sort of an insurance thing for this particular card. But a high quality graded card, especially one graded by the most popular company Beckett, can sell for thousands. The record for a Gretzky rookie was actually recently broken when one graded 10 by PSA sold for just over $62,000.
Answer
I have a Gretzky OPC Rookie that is mint. While I am not planning to sell, based upon what I have seen, I thought that it should be worth 4 or 5 thousand. I might think about selling it for $62,000.
Answer
A high graded Gretzky Rookie card resently sold for $63,000.00, but it definatly depends on the grade of the card. Alot of Gretzky cards are graded at a 6 or 7 and sell for $300.00 to $500.00. Still a good price if you have one.
Answer
Anything over $1500 is way too much. You can get them on eBay all day long for less than that. Check out this store if you are interested in buying, http:/rookiecardfinder.com/Cards/waynegretzky
ANSWER
this card was once sold for $80,000 and was at the time the most expensive hockey card ever sold
