What is the value of a postcard autographed by Willie McCovey? |
[Edit] |
Willie McCovey signed postcard
The lowest priced signed item would be for a "cut Signature." A cut signature is a signature on a piece of paper, or "cut" from a larger piece. Index cards are the next step up, and both sell at a fraction (about 10%-20%) the price of an autographed baseball. A baseball card is compatible in price as a signed photo.
The signed postcard will be valued on how it displays the signature If the postcard pictures Willie McCovey or is related to baseball (Giants) and signed on the front it will be valued closer to the price of a signed baseball card - $30. - $40.
If the postcard is plain or signed on the back of a picture postcard it will have the value of a signed index card or a cut signature, about $10. - $20.
Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less.
