Vinyl 78s by Gigli
As far as I am aware there is only one 78 rpm side on vinyl of Gigli singing opera, issued on the Historic Masters label a year or two ago. Gigli made over 400 so-called 78s, mostly of opera between 1918 and 1954. All of these were issued on shellac. Vinyl did not come into use until after the war and very few 78s were issued. Vinyl is the material used for unbreakable long playing microgroove records (LPs) first issued in 1948.
Depending on rarity and condition a 78 by Gigli might cost anything from one GBP or less to more than 100 GBP.
