Elvis's yearbook signatureIt didn't take me very long to realize that Elvis Presley's signature is what's valuable and probably not the school yearbook. Anyone can sell their signature I believe if someone wants to buy it. A celebrity's signature makes items more valuable than not. The yearbook did not come from an organization such as a major league, major company, etc but was from a typical source. A signed Baseball from the Cubs is probably a good example of what I'm trying to convey. If Elvis's signature were cut out of the yearbook it could sell. Any copies of it may be worthless as you can purchase cds and store bought materials of sorts, and have his signature a hundred times over. The original copy is one to hold on to. Therefore best kept in tact in the yearbook. That just might turn the tables in your favor if someone really wanted to purchase the yearbook with his signature only because that's the school Elvis attended. I am only going by what I've heard, read, and my feelings about that. There would need be a deepened interest for someone to make you the kind of offer you'd be willing to accept. It seems the yearbook holds more value to you in the sense that it belongs to you personally. You may place a high value on it enough to keep, depending on how you view it.

Added 5/10/2010 - In 1987, a signed copy sold for $1,200 at auction. Then in 2004 at a Christie's auction, another copy sold for >$4,500 with the buyer's premium included. In 2008, what possibly appears to be the same copy at the 1987 auction, sold for $4,000 (plus $900 buyer's fee) at auction. There are only about 12 known to exist.

== == I found the following from another web site. "Collecting old yearbooks has become a hobby for some, especially the books with pictures of classmates who went on to achieve great fame.

A copy of Franklin Roosevelt's 1900 yearbook is worth about $4,000. John Wayne's 1925 annual from Glendale High ---- he was Marion Morrison in those days ---- is valued at $2,500. Elvis Presley's yearbook goes for $1,500 ---- about the same as Shaquille O'Neal's annual." Contact columnist John Hunneman at (951) 676-4315, Ext. 2603, or hunneman@californian.com. Just say another reader had sent you.

How much is a copy of Elvis presleys 1977 will worth?

There are many counterfeit copies of Elvis' last will in 1977. These don't include the signatures of the witnesses, of Elvis, and of the attorney. Nor are they notarized, and/or certified, copies. These counterfeit "collectibles" are worth approximately...nothing. If you have a complete, signed by all parties, authenticated, documented, fully signed/notarized/certified copy of Elvis' 1977 will it would bring approximately several hundred dollars (or more depending on the economy) at retail auction.

What is the value of an autographed Cubs yearbook?

Autographed Cubs YearbookYou did noy mention the year of the yearbook or who signed it. In general if the cover is signed by a player it would be considered as a flaw in the condition of the yearbook, and the value will then rely on the signature. The yearbook becomes an item to display the signature. Value will vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. If the signature is not authenticated it could sell at half the market value or less.

1992 Yankees yearbook signed by ken griffey jr?

Ken Griffey Jr. signed 1992 Yankees yearbookOnce the Yankees yearbook is signed (on the cover) The collectors value is lost to the value of the signature. A Yankees yearbook would also make a poor item to have signed by Ken Griffey Jr. as he never played for them. A Ken Griffey Jr. signed Yankees yearbook is worth about $30.-$50. If the signature is on the inside it could be valued as a cut signature and the most of the value of the yearbook could be restored ($10.00 - $15.00) The Ken Griffey Jr. cut signature would be worth about $15.00 -$20.00. Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. Add for inscriptions.

What is a signed 1986 New England Patriots official team yearbook worth?

The value of the book is in the condition of the yearbook and who's autograph is on the book. Without knowing those specific things a value cannot be established. In order to accurately determine the value of the item, it is recommended that you take the yearbook to a local sports shop that deals in memorabilia to have an appraisal of the item.
